  • EBIOSS will be responsible for the design, supply, assembly and start-up under the “turnkey” modality of each of the projects.

EBIOSS Energy, a leading company in the waste treatment sector, has signed a new agreement with energy services company SENSE ESCO Ltd. for the supply of three gasification plants for forest and agro-industrial waste in Croatia.

The estimated investment of SENSE ESCO is 28 million euros and the turnover of EQTEC Iberia, a subsidiary of EBIOSS, will be 25 million euros. The first project of these three, called “Belisce 2“, located in the municipality of Belisce, Will have an electrical power of up to 1.3 MWe and a treatment capacity of up to 8,000 tons of forest waste per year. Belisce 2 represents a total investment of approximately six million Euros for SENSE ESCO. This project is the second phase of the project for the power and thermal power generation plant with EGT Gasification plant whose construction was completed earlier this year.

The second project, called “Bioenergetika“, located in the municipality of Vrpolje, will have an electrical power of up to 1.1 MWe and a treatment capacity of up to 8,000 tonnes of forest waste per year. Bioenergetika represents a total investment of approximately six million euros of SENSE ESCO.

The third project, called “Sibenik“, located in the municipality of Sibenik, will have an electrical power of up to 2 MWe and a treatment capacity of up to 12,000 tons per year of agro-industrial waste. Sibenik represents a total investment of approximately 16 million euros of SENSE ESCO.

According to Luis Sánchez Angrill, CEO of EBIOSS Energy, the agreement demonstrates the solidity of the EQTEC Gasifier Technology: “SENSE ESCO, which already has Belisce 1 operating, has re-entrusted us and our innovative technology for its new generation Electrical and thermal energy in Croatia “.

EBIOSS, through its subsidiary EQTEC Iberia, will be responsible for the design, supply, assembly and start-up under the “turnkey” modality of each of the projects.
