Current situation

Municipalities dedicate their largest budget in disposal of urban waste, being landfill overflow is one of the major challenges public administrations will face in the near future with no critical information in this matter. This scenario does not make data-based decision making possible. It is estimated that 72% of urban waste will increase in 2025 with an increase of population moving to cities, which will total from 3 billion to 7.6 billion people. The generation of garbage will increase from 3,500 tons / day to 6,100 tons / day.

Currently landfills in Europe are full, with a consequent increase in public expenditures on logistics and maintenance.
